Year 6 news

Year 6 news this week is brought to you by Daisy F, Emily B and Molly.

In literacy, we have been writing speeches inspired by famous people such as Martin Luther King, Nadia (From Great British Bake Off!) and Elizabeth I. These people inspired us to be confident and stand up for what we believe in!

In maths we did percentages, this was a challenge because we had to reduce the prices.

This fun week has included lots of science as it was science week! Year 6 have done lots of experiments like: osmosis- we did an experiment where we put celery into food colouring and water; chromatography- we did an experiment where we put skittles on top of coffee filter paper that was put in water- this caused the food colouring (ink) on the sweets to run off on to the paper; we did an experiment where we put wool (caterpillars) in the grass that were different colours and we were blackbirds trying to find them but some were camouflage so we didn't see them; and we made colour wheels.

Have a good weekend,
Daisy, Emily and Molly Year 6
