Year 6 News this week
This week we have been concentrating on study work. We have found out about the history of the Union flag and how it has come to look like it has today. We have found out about the Magna Carta and how the British Value of the rule of law comes from of this document. We have begun mini-history projects which are looking at elements of British History from Roman times to present day; topics chosen include: settlement; invention; crime and punishment; monarchy.
We have been helping our Reception buddies with their sports day practices and reviewing their learning journey through Reception.
Unfortunately, we had to cancel our school grounds days due to heavy rain — we will rebook another date.
Have a fantastic weekend — a reminder that next week has a lot of sport happening and you will need your kit every day!
