We have continued reading Skyhawk this week and have discovered that Iona's secret — she has found an osprey's nest building on Callum's farm.
In English we have been using the text to continue to develop our writing skills, looking at instructional writing about climbing trees to allow us to continue the story from the point where Callum has to climb a tree to see Iona's secret. We have also been writing our own versions of the story so far, some of us have even turned the story's point of view over to be written by Iona not Callum. We have also been continuing poetry writing with Mrs Bradbury-Smith, some lovely examples from across the class.
In Maths we have been continuing with geometry objectives, focusing on angles — measuring, drawing, applying key facts to triangles, quadrilaterals and lines. Our measurement work has continued too.
We have begun to look at how to tackle test papers and what it is like to complete something within a time limit.
We have also done some French with Miss Lake and Mrs Taylor taught us RE on Friday — she was very impressed with our knowledge!
Spag.com and MyMaths homework have been set.
Enjoy your weekend
