This week we have continued our focus on rainforests and in particular deforestation. We have looked at the arguments for and against damaging the rainforests. We decided to try the hard challenging first, writing a formal letter as if we were a logging company wanting a permit from the Brazilian government putting forward our points for being allowed to log.
In reading we have been looking at identifying and commenting on the structure and organisation of texts, including grammatical and presentational features.
In maths we have been looking at past papers and unpicking how to gain marks from 2 mark questions.
Science we have been continuing with our work on evolution and have made our own fossils.
We have also continued with French, RE, music and PE.

Our fundraisers, and many helpers, have done a fantastic job this week organising Red Nose Day — well done!

Have a lovely weekend
