Year 6 news!

A busy week for us! We have had visitors — PC Nick came to talk to us and Brine Leas have visited the children transferring in September (Malbank and Shavington are visiting after half term).
Numeracy: We have explored outside for numeracy — developing our estimation and reasoning skills. Do you know how to estimate the height of a tree? Y6 have some ideas — try them for yourself! We have also completed a challenge to work out the symbols for numbers in other languages and then use this knowledge to write the number 51.
Own Study: we have continued to develop our own study book. It has been interesting to see show news over this last week which can contribute to some of our topics — new dinosaurs have been discovered and Saturn is developing a new moon!
We have had a really busy half term! Year 6 you have earnt a well deserved rest! Enjoy half term! Mrs Chesters
