Year 6 have got stuck into their final study work ever book this week! We have completed history projects which have looked at aspects of history across the ages, an opportunity to revisit topics they have previously looked at in KS2 but also to fill in some of the gaps in their chronological understanding. In pairs they have looked at British Monarchy, transport, crime and punishment, shelter and homes, inventions and leisure/past times. The pages of their study books contain time lines, information about key people, events and objects. They have certainly found some interesting facts!
We have looked into the history of the Union flag and how it came to be. We also now know the correct way to fly it!
Continuing with our story, Mortal Engines, we have created pictures of what we think London looks like and written up our descriptive writing to create a page.
We have also continued with French with Miss Lake, the Alpha course with Mrs Hughes and PE with Sportscape.
We have also begun to look back at our time at Wybunbury by accessing our photo archive — how we have all changed! This morning we enjoyed reminding ourselves of the songs we sang at Young Voices last year — Year 4 were mightily impressed!
We have enjoyed our week!
Some of Year 6 are helping FOWD at the Fig Pie Wakes tomorrow, come and see us!
