This week we have moved onto a measures topic for maths. We have looked at reading scales and converting between metric units of measure as a starting point.
We have completed our PowerPoint about ancient civilisations and thought about what impact they still have on us today and what we can learn from the past if we had to start our civilisation again.
In RE we have begun a new unit of work about different people's beliefs about God. We begun by looking at the entries for the Art in Heaven competition and how children had represented God. We completed our an picture and word art about God.
In music we have been learning the song Happy that Pharrell Williams released in 2013 and practising singing in parts.
We are collecting plastic bags of all colours and sizes in preparation for DT. Please can you send any spare bags you may have to Year 6 — thank you!
Speaking parts have been given out for the KS2 Carol Service today, please learn them in readiness for a rehearsal on Wednesday next week.
We are looking forward to going to see the Snow Queen next week.
Have a lovely weekend!
Mrs Chesters
