This week we have moved onto a new topic in maths — multiplication and division. As a result, our focus has been multiples and factors. We realised that knowing our times tables is a crucial skill that we need to know. Therefore, make sure you are logging onto Times Table Rock Stars to get practising and getting quicker recall speeds.

During our English lessons, we wrote our thank you letters to the World War 1 generation. Reading and marking them was very moving because you all included so many heart-warming sentiments and messages of thank you. They were all very touching.

Our afternoons have been slightly different again this week. It has been Anti-Bullying Week, so a lot of our activities have been linked to this. We have looked into what bullying is and we learnt the difference between general fallings out and one-off incidents of being mean, compared to situations where mean things are being done 'Several Times On Purpose'. It is when it's several times on purpose that you need to make sure you seek help from someone you trust. We also learnt that there are different types of bullying: physical, emotional and cyberbullying. We thought about why bullying happens and talked about the importance of being different and how each of us should appreciate differences and choose respect.

On Thursday and Friday, you each took part in Bike Ability Level 1. You worked on the play ground and learnt key skills like manoeuvring around tight objects. This was harder than it looked and required you to dig deep and find your inner focus and determination. Good work everybody.

Have a lovely weekend,

Miss P
