Year 5 news this week comes from Josh....

In History this week we have been focusing on the Greeks. We learnt a lot about democracy and what the Ancient Greeks believed in.

In Literacy we have been learning how to identify the key features of a diary and having a go at writing one of our own. I am looking forward to writing Kestrel's diary (a Wind Singer character) next week.

We have been looking at properties of shapes in Numeracy this week. I learnt what a polygon is and I also learnt what parallel and perpendicular lines are. Then we drew irregular shapes on isometric paper and aimed to get as many parallel and perpendicular lines in them as we could.

That's all for Y5 news this week.
