Bon soir ! Comment ├ža va ?

On Monday, after swimming, we had our next French lesson and learnt how to ask someone their name, how they were and how to reply to the questions too. As well as learning how to say all of this, we also had a look at how it is written down. You took all the new learning in your stride and I was seriously impressed. We have come so far in our learning already, good work Year 5!

Geography was our focus on Tuesday. We learnt about the different layers of the rainforest, and on Thursday we planned our rainforest dioramas — check out the website next week to see the finished items. Continuing with our afternoon learning, today we dived into history and learnt about the different types of houses that the Edo people of Benin lived in; we used clay and natural resources to recreate one each.

In maths, we have moved onto a new topic. . . angles. We have been recapping our knowledge and been learning how to use a protractor to measure angles. In English, we have been using our knowledge of descriptive writing to write a description about the moss.

Hope you all have a great weekend,

Miss P
