So...what a couple of weeks! This weeks news is last weeks and this weeks combined after technical...
Year 4 News
In Maths this week we have completed our multiplication and division unit of work. We have learnt how to use short multiplication and multiplying and dividing with fraction and brackets. Today, we also completed another end of unit test.
In English we have focused on the use of conjunctions within our work to make sentences more interesting by adding an extra clause. We then used this knowledge to write our own dilemma story. This will be continued at the start of next week.
In RE this week we have explored the importance of the church within a Christian community and how Christians care for others in their community. In addition, we have started our History topic this week. We are learning about the railway in Britain. Firstly, we have learnt about the very first locomotives and we began to discuss the impact these had on future train designs.
Today, we had a very exciting afternoon involving sweets! We evaluated the sweets based on their appearance and of course their taste!!!!! I think it's fair to say everyone thoroughly enjoyed this lesson! However, I would like to add, the children all participated beautifully and some great learning took place. I cannot wait to continue this until of work next week!
Thank you for another fantastic week Year 4.
