Year 4 News
'All of the first years started to creep closer and closer to the alleyway of snatching trees. Their gloomy shadows frightened the group. The moon illuminated the darkness helping them on their hazardous journey. Harry heard a sudden noise. Was there something out there?'

In English this week, we became authors! We crafted beautiful sentences and used exquisite noun phrases to create a story about Harry Potter! I am extremely proud of their work, I hope the children are proud of what they have done too. In Maths, we have been learning the bus stop method for division. Once you get the hang of it, it makes division easy!
Our Monday afternoon was a very special one; Mrs Taylor joined us because this week has been Interfaith Week. Mrs Taylor helped us explore our Christian values and showed us how these values are linked with the key values of Judaism and Islam. We used our British Values during the session to listen to each other and take on board the different opinions that were shared.
Also this week, we went to our last SingFest rehearsal. It was great fun! It wont be long now until we are doing the real thing! To ensure the you know the words to the songs, we will be practising more in class. You have also been given a copy of the words so you can learn them at home. To help learn the words at home, you will now also be able to find backtracks to the songs at http://lovemusictrust.com/singfest2016/
