Year 4 News
In Literacy this week we have been looking at diary writing. During this topic, we have found out about different types of sentences (compound, complex, short and simple). Next week, to put our new knowledge into practise, we will be writing a diary extract as Harry.
In Numeracy, we have been revisiting the different calculation strategies we have learnt over the year. It was tricky at times but we must remember that we have all the tools we need! We can do subtraction, addition, multiplication and division! We just need to think carefully about which method we should be using.
During the afternoons, we carried on with our Seurat pictures; they look brilliant! Also this week, we have all finished the electrical circuits for our wands which means we can now move onto making the wand casing. In Chemistry, we got messy investigating the properties of solids, liquids and gases. Finally, we continued to learn about presenting information using a digital technologies.
