Year 4 News
Well, another week has come and gone and we are quickly approaching the end of year 4. Time really does fly when you're having fun!
This week in English, we have continued with balanced arguments. We have finally completed them and even had a go at writing one without any help, which was a little tricky but we gave it our best shot. A big pat on the back for year 4.
In maths this week, we have completed our end of unit challenge on addition and subtraction. We have also looked back at fractions and decimals as we were still a little confused with how we could represent them.
On Wednesday this week, we travelled to Congleton in Stoke-on-Trent to visit Little Moreton Hall. We learnt all about life in Tudor times at the hall and even had a little giggle at some of the things that we found out. Did you know that the Tudors didn't wear underwear? We were amazed by some of the things that the Tudors did, like did you know that the women wore bottom rolls to make them look fat? They thought that the fatter you appeared, the more likely you were to attract a wealthy husband.
In the afternoon, we cheered on the KS1 sports day and had a great time with our house family.
A very successful week in year 4.
Hoping you have a great weekend.
Miss Rushton
