What an interesting week back here in Year 4!

In English, we have began a new unit of work; balanced arguments. As you can imagine, the children have been brilliant in voicing their opinions over the week. We have worked together in pairs to divide facts up and to select where they would go on our planning sheets. We have then come together to complete a shared write, before moving on to writing our own reasons for and against our given subject.

In maths, we have focused on addition and subtraction. Our week began with some fun maths games. This really got our brains working because we had to mentally add and subtract numbers. It was tough! We also worked on the column method and worded problems.

Science this week, has focused on evaporation. We have planned an experiment to investigate evaporation. We had lots of ideas and discussion about this topic and we are very keen to carry out our plan.

Bring on next week's challenges!

Have a great weekend.

Miss Rushton
