Year 4 News

Year 4 have been looking at doubling and halving in Numeracy this week; we are able to halve odd numbers too! Can you remember what every halved odd number will end up having?

In Literacy we have been thinking about dragons again and learning how to improve our sentences using vocabulary, connectives, openers and punctuation (V.C.O.P).

In our afternoons we have been looking at Geography! We know that during the Viking era Britain was divided into seven kingdoms. Then we learnt about how modern Britain is divided into counties. Finally, we put our learning together and worked out which kingdoms our modern day counties would have been in. Can you remember which Viking kingdom Cheshire would have been in?

Finally, have a lovely half term! If you are going to any Bonfire Nights, make sure you stay safe as I want to see everybody back safe and sound in November.

See you in November,

Miss Pennance
