This week in Year 4 . . .

In English, we have read and unpicked a chapter of the book. The aim of the task was to become familiar with the events and the characters' feelings in this section because next week we will be transforming it into a play script.

In Maths, we have been reviewing and adding to our knowledge of decimals and fractions — we have focused on how to write tenths and hundredths as fractions and decimals. We then went on to apply this knowledge to halves, quarters and fifths.

During our afternoon lessons, we have been doing Geography, D.T, History and Study Work. In Geography we learnt about how the town of Nantwich has changed. However, some streets have stayed the same; we looked at why this was the case and also how these streets got their names. In D.T, we finished making the frames for our Tudor Houses. You worked hard to glue your frames together and strengthen them with diagonal struts — we need to say a big thank you to Mrs Bailey for helping us with this task.... THANK YOU!
