Welcome back to the last half of the Spring Term. I hope you have had a relaxing and fun half term holiday.

On Monday, it was lovely to see everyone back in school ready to jump straight back into their learning. Our Maths lessons this week have focused on the 3, 4 and 8 Times Tables. We have also been learning the related division facts too. We then learnt how to use this knowledge to work out questions like 70 x 4 and 60 x 8. In English, we have been learning about conjunctions. These are words that join phrases and/or clauses together.

However, some of us didn't do Maths and English on Wednesday because half of the class went down to Wybunbury Moss. It was a wonderful morning and we were even lucky enough to have the sun shine. Whilst we were there, we learnt about the special plants and insects that live on the moss and how Natural England are working hard to preserve it. During the visit, as well as getting a little muddy, we helped them remove small trees and brambles from a section of the moss. We even helped fell a huge Scots Pine that was over 40 years old! It was great fun and we would like to say a huge thank you to the team from Natural England and Mrs Pointen who organised it for us. And I know the next half of the class, who will be going next week, are already looking forward to it.

Have a lovely weekend and see you on Monday,

Miss Pennance
