Happy New Year, year one! This is not the way we wanted to start our new year but everyone has...
Year 3 Weekly News
Our week in Year 3 began on Monday with division and diary writing. These two themes continued throughout the week. In maths, we then moved onto scaling problems and word problems. These challenged our knowledge and made us think carefully and use the key facts we had already learnt.
In our afternoons, we have been focusing on art and science. In art, we explored Piet Mondrian's painting style by looking at his 'Red Tree' painting. Then, we tried our best to emulate his style using oil pastels and paint. It was very interesting and we learnt that you don't have to always paint with just paint brushes! For our science lesson we completed some experiments to test the density and permeability of rocks. There were some surprising results. Did you know, not all rocks sink? Can you guess which one?
Hope you all have a lovely weekend,
Miss P
