We look forward to welcoming you all back to Spring 2 half term tomorrow — Monday 22nd February. ...
Year 3 News
This week in Year 3 we have been working on Geometry during our Maths lessons. We have been learning about angles and considering how many right angles make a whole turn. We then used this knowledge of turns to think about directions and compass points.
In English, we wrote an independent piece of writing about Europe. We worked individually to complete our piece. We then used this piece of writing to learn about some important element of grammar and punctuation; we learnt when to use 'is' and when to use 'are'. We also looked at the importance of 'to be' verbs.
During our afternoon sessions, you had P.E with Sportscape where you played cricket and rounders. On Wednesday, we learnt about the human skeleton. Did you know there are 206 bones in our bodies? Yesterday, we did some more Study Work and then enjoyed singing along to Bob Marley's Three Little Birds during our music lesson. This afternoon, we considered what it would have been like to be one of Jesus' disciples. Finally, we finished the afternoon with a computing session where we learnt about variables in coding.
I hope you have a lovely weekend and see you all on Monday,
Miss P
