Year 3 News
We have completed the first half of the Spring Term; the time has flown by! Once again we have been busy this week learning lots of new things.
In English, we have been focusing on handwriting. We have been thinking carefully about the size and shape of our letters and have been trying hard to make sure each letter starts and finishes on the line. We have then put our learning into practice by completing another Study Work Page.
In Maths, we have been focusing on units of time this week. We have been learning the key facts and tried our best to remember how many days are in each month (an important fact all Year 3 children need to know). We then used this knowledge, and our knowledge of fractions, to work out time problems. Such as, 'How many minutes are their in three quarters of an hour?' Do you know?
On Monday afternoon, we all produced beautiful observational drawings of a Torah scroll. We then finished them off today by water-colouring them. On Tuesday you had P.E with Sportscape and Netball was the focus of your afternoon. Then, on Wednesday we did the next round of the rotation activities.
I hope you all have a lovely half term,
Miss Pennance
