This week we have had lively brains and been learning lots.

In English, we have been looking at instruction writing, paying close attention to its key features. We then looked at how a set of instructions has an introduction, a middle and a conclusion.

In maths, we have been learning mental methods for subtraction. We then applied these skills to help us solve word problems.

During the afternoons, we have been busy with P.E, music, computing, study work, D.T and R.E. In R.E we learnt about John the Baptist and began to think about why he is important. During our D.T lesson we learnt about the power of air and how it can be used to make things work — this is called pneumatic! In music we have been using our voices and also learning how to play notes in time; we all played the glockenspiel. Finally, in computing, we have begun looking at stop-motion animation, we even had a go at creating our own little stop-motion animation videos.
