Our first full week back was busy and fun.

In English, we used our story as a starting point for writing a descriptive piece about waking up in a forest. The vocabulary and noun phrases that you used were astounding; your words brought the forest alive!

In Maths, we have been looking at comparing numbers using < > =. We then applied this knowledge to answer reasoning questions. For example: Do you agree with this statement? 4 x 3 < 4 + 4 + 4

In our afternoons, we covered a mix of topics. We did some outdoor maths to work out the age of the trees on our school field. This involved measuring the circumference of the trees and then dividing the circumference by two. Another one of our lessons included learning some new key words about castles. We then then worked as teams to create castles out of newspaper and masking tape. Your constructions were very impressive.

Hope you're having a great weekend,

Miss P
