Year 3 News

Year 3 is now well underway and we have all risen to the challenges that it brings. Well done everyone.

We have been working hard during our maths lessons this week. Our main focus has been understanding the value of numbers and how this knowledge can be used to place numbers on a blank number line — this was a little tricky! In English, we have been learning new words to help us describe a dragon. We then used these words to create terrifying noun phrases as part of a dragon description.

During our afternoon sessions, we have been learning more about the Anglo-Saxons and Vikings. We have been thinking about what local resources would be needed to found a new village and we realised that the geographical features of an area are very important! Computing captured our interest on Wednesday as we learnt about E-Safety and what the internet was; we will be using this knowledge to create our own E-Safety leaflet.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend,

Miss P
