This week, we have worked on negative numbers and square numbers in maths. In literacy, we have focused on using connectives in sentences and moving clauses for effect.

We have been joined by Luke Burns (an ex-pupil) who is trained in dance. We used Luke's experience to help us choreograph a Native American hoop dance and we have practised this in preparation for our powwow. We performed the dance to a Native American Indian song, which we have also spent time learning.

Luke also helped children design and make their clay keys and supported us with our work in class. Thanks go to Luke for all his hard work and for contributing to our powwow in such a great way.

We also enjoyed our Move Up day when we headed off to Miss Pennance for the morning. How exciting! We're almost ready for year 4 now!

Tomorrow, we will continue work on square numbers with an outdoor maths lesson, learn more about animals in French and look carefully at the similarities and differences between Christianity and Islam...
