Year 2 Weekly News
Another week has flown by and I can't believe it is nearly May! What a busy week it has been! On Wednesday we were joined by a specialist computing teacher and we were lucky enough to spend a whole morning with her! We learnt how to use the Tiny Tap app and we then went on to make our own Roman page, importing text, adding backgrounds and even adding our voices, showing off how much we know already about Roman soldiers and Roman life. In our English lessons, we have been learning all about how tough it was to be a Roman soldier and what a typical day would be like. We then went on to write our own diary entries, thinking about ordering our writing, what is would have felt like and whether we would want to be a Roman soldier or not! In the afternoons, we have been learning all about materials with Mrs Hope and have continued to build on our science vocabulary. What new science words can you remember?
Today, we have taken part in International Dance Day and have learnt a new dance...the flamenco! Can you show off any of your new moves?
The children have also been sent home with 'Team Lewis Trust Run Fun 8 for 8' sponsorship forms. Please let me know if you haven't had one as I have some spares. Letters have also gone out via email for the school visit to Chester.
Enjoy the weekend!
