So...what a couple of weeks! This weeks news is last weeks and this weeks combined after technical...
Year 2
It's been another busy week in Year 2.
As part of our build up to remembrance Day, we finished painting our poppies, learned about why we wear them and wrote a beautiful class poem. We shared our work with the rest of the school in Wednesdays Remembrance worship and now have some of it on display in the conservatory and the rest in the classroom. As part of our Remembrance Day celebration, we looked at what it was like to be in school 100 years ago. We enjoyed using our hands and feet to try and measure various things around school!
In English we have been writing postcards about our adventures, in Egypt and the Himalayas, based on Pippas' journey in 'Where My Wellies Take Me.'
In Maths we have been learning to use Venn and Carroll diagrams to sort 2D shapes into a variety of criteria.
We have also been busy completing study work, enjoyed our first football skills session with Crewe Alex and even practised our Nativity songs.
Have a great weekend.
