We have been letting our light shine this week.
In Literacy we have been writing about our visit to the Tiger Who Came to Tea. We wrote Thank You letters to people who helped us. We have also planned our own witch story and then written them — what amazing imaginations we all have.
In Numeracy we have been weighing with 100gs and timing ourselves using stopwatches. We are now getting an idea about what 15, 30 and 60 seconds feels like. There is My Maths homework on weighing this week.
We have learnt about the Roman Invasion of Britain, what delayed the invasion and what went well for the Romans.
We have made diyas, small clay candle holders, with Mrs Stockton and learnt about how they are used in the Hindu festival of Diwali. We will be showing these to the rest of the school next week and we have words to practise this weekend.
It was lovely to see so many of you at our Festival of Lights Disco this evening.
Enjoy the weekend.
