A huge thank you all once again for your support in these challenging times! Seesaw has been...
Year 2 news
This week, we have been making our own farm animals using parts of existing farm animals and then we have been planning our stories based around the adventures of our new animal. Children, what is your new animal called? What noise does it make? We made sure our story had a beginning, middle and end and we shared our ideas to help others.
In maths, we have been focusing on measures, measuring length in centimetres, temperature in degrees and liquid in millilitres and litres. Lots to remember! We have been reading scales using thermometers, jugs and rules. We will be continuing with this next week and developing our knowledge of telling the time.
In the afternoons, we have been continuing our learning of food chains and we have finished off our study work page. The children are excited to show you their books! We also used the IPads to work on our coding unit, using Espresso Coding. The children were great at this and worked very well with their partners.
Mrs Parker and I are very excited about our theme day tomorrow. We have lots of exciting farm themed activities plans and we will even have the opportunity to speak to a real young farmer! We are looking forward to seeing you all dressed up!
