We've finished another lovely week in year 2.

In English we have practised our comprehension skills and become news reporters. We decided, after our newspaper reports last week, to present the news of a giant peach landing on the Empire State as a news programme. We planned and scripted our report and then presented it to the rest of the class. Miss Holland videoed and then we watched it back.
In Maths we have been revisiting fractions, shape, position and direction and time. We practised splitting the clock in two. One half was past and the other to. In past, we count forwards and in to, we count backwards. Mrs Charlesworth's group have also been practising fractions as well as symmetry.

Our Geography afternoons have been busy creating our passports to the seven continents. We've used our research from the last week to write interesting facts about each continent and also the five oceans. We've also added our own stamps for each journey. We have also enjoyed RE with Mrs Taylor, PE with Mrs Morales and continued our materials topic in Science with Mrs Bradbury-Smith.

Have a lovely relaxing weekend!
