The weather definitely seems to have improved this week!

We began the week with a big write, recounting our bank holiday adventures. The children worked super hard and amazed themselves with how much they wrote!
In English, Mrs Charlesworth's group have focussed on reading skills while my group have been writing newspaper articles about giant peaches. It's a tricky concept to grasp but we definitely have some budding journalists in year 2!

In Maths Mrs Charlesworth's group have continued with fractions and my group have been revising how to use inverse to check our answers as well as estimating marbles in a jar.

In the afternoons we have begun our geography study work page. We have used our marbling as an ocean background and added a world map over the top. We have labelled the continents and oceans and created a key for extra information. We managed to get outside on Friday to enjoy a story. It was beautifully read by Logan and Harry S. Well done! We have also enjoyed learning about Shabbat in R.E. with Mrs Taylor and cricket in P.E. with Mrs Morales.

Have a lovely weekend and enjoy the weather!
