Year 2 News
The Easter holidays are finally here!
Everyone has worked so hard this term. We have finished our study work books, made hot cross buns and written our own apps.
In Numeracy we continued to find the difference by counting on and also looked at using money. For one of our starter activities we played Funky Mummy, practising our number bonds to 20. These are the links to the games if you would like to have another go at home — http://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/ks1/maths/money/play/popup.shtml

In Literacy we wrote reflections about our learning for our study work books.
Our hot cross buns were fantastic, we remembered that they contain spices to remind us that Jesus' body was to be covered in spices in the tomb. The cross reminds us of Good Friday. The fruit in the bun is because Easter is a celebration.
We also thought about what was happening to the ingredients. We mixed and created chemical reactions. There were irreversible changes that happened, and our ingredients went from solid to liquid and back to solid.
The best part was eating them!
Enjoy the holidays. Make sure that you keep safe and have a good rest.
Happy Easter!
