Well, we came in to breakfast club this morning to find the toys have been having a bit of fun over...
Year 2
In literacy we have been learning about Romulus and Remus the founders of Rome. We have looked at Roman Myths and Legends and been creating our own Roman God.
In Numeracy we have been adding two 2-digit numbers together using the partition method. E.g. 24 + 43 = First we partitioned each number into the Tens and Units. We added the Tens 20+40 = 60 and then we added the units 4 +3 = 7. Finally we recombined the Tens and Units answers 60+7 = 67 and went back to the start to write our answers. We used the same method to subtract numbers as well, remembering to add our answers at the end not subtract.
We have been looking at Roman food and how we have different foods at times of celebration. We have started our new music unit learning a song called 'I wanna sing in a band' and our new coding unit about inputs in Computing.
Don't forget to bring your coat and comfy shoes for our trip on Monday.
