Year 2 become Romans for the Day
'Our historic day out!'
'Year 2 become Romans for the day.'
'All of our class went to Chester Museum.'
'We went to the amphitheatre and dressed up as Romans.'
We had a wonderful day last Thursday. We hope the photos give a snapshot of the interesting activities that we were part of. We enjoyed dressing up as real Roman soldiers complete with armour and a shield. Our walk took us to the arena, the centre of the amphitheatre. Can you find the photo showing the turtle formation? We were a well-protected and a very organised army.
Whilst Miss Silvester was getting to know the New Starters, Mrs Burns and Mrs Taylor have been teaching Year 2. We have created lots of different riddles and then used all our Roman facts to create one based on our story Gladiator's don't blink. We have learnt about Roman mosaics and created our own design.
This week we have also had the opportunity to think about next year. On Wednesday we had a transition morning in Year 3's classroom. The children all had a great morning getting to know Miss Lake.
