Year 1 News
It has been another great week in Year 1! Our independent writing has really taken shape this week. We have been exploring our Wombat Goes Walkabout story to think about writing sentences with the joining word and, and as a challenge we also talked about what commas do when we see them in sentences. I am looking forward to sharing the ending of the story with you next week.
In Maths Miss O'Shea has continued to explore the themes of measures and more and less. As part of our learning this week we have been recognising more and more numbers on the 100 square. We have made mazes, created 1 more/less and 10 more/less patterns and responded to our learning at the end of our lessons.
PC Nick visited us on Friday morning and he had some clear messages about how to stay safe online.
Our afternoons have seen us do a variety of learning linked to Computing and Study Work. We have had the privilege to practise and lead our Easter Service to our school family this week. As a class you have strived to practise your words and shine alongside the Year 2 and 3 children. A huge well done!
