Wow what a busy but fantastic final week we have had before our Easter holidays. I am so proud of...
Year 1 News
We are all settled into year 1 and have had a busy first few days back at school. I hope you have all enjoyed it as much as I have. in literacy, we have been writing our classroom rules and the children have been writing all about themselves. We have made our own superheroes and they are already up flying around on our display. In numeracy we have been using the numicon to order numbers and thinking about one more and one less linked to addition and subtraction. We have started to make our superhero finger puppets, by drawing around a template and cutting out felt. We will start the sewing part next week! Newsletters will be sent out by email tonight and year 1's holistic plan will be on the website next week. This morning, our classroom smelt beautiful as we cut some of the lavender from outside our classroom and made bunches to sell next week. The children have decided they would like to raise money to buy some superhero costumes! Thank you for a lovely first few days and I look forward to seeing you all on Monday.
