A huge thank you all once again for your support in these challenging times! Seesaw has been...
Year 1 News
Our Year 1 class have continued to show great courage and friendship this week. I have been astounded by how supportive and thoughtful you are.
In Literacy we have been learning about alliteration and what fun we have had! Happy hippos, cheeky chimps, amazing Africa.....and this is just the start of our learning in literacy. We have now moved onto counting the beats in words to make a special pattern with 5, 7, 5 beats. This pattern has then transformed our writing into great poems. Well done Year 1!
Measuring length and weight have enabled Numeracy to be very practical this week. We thought about problem solving and our quick number games gave us time to think about being a super team.
In Science we have explored work on our senses and our sense organs to find out the answer to a problem. What great detectives you were! The clues enabled us to use all our five senses to identify a missing bear. Our Zoology book gave us a great starting point to find out all about different animals, and we used the iPads to research different animal groups.
I am looking forward to learning more about animals in Science week next week.
