Y6 Visit to Carding Mill Valley

Home » News » Y6 Visit to Carding Mill Valley

Year 6 have had a great time today at Carding Mill Valley in Shropshire. We learnt about how to study a river, sampling rocks, measuring the valley floor, river channel and water for size, depth and the speed of the water. We have walked upstream looking at the valley features and using our river vocabulary to good effect. We did get thoroughly soaked due to the changing weather but all said they enjoyed the activities. The National Trust guide complimented Y6 on their behaviour and said they were great ambassadors for our school — well done Year 6! A fantastic day — hope you've all changed into warm clothes and are ready to compare our data collected back at school!
