We have been writing newspaper articles using nursery rhymes as our starting point. In Year 6, we have some great imaginations and the nursery rhymes have definitely evolved! We have been focusing our reading skills on answering comprehension questions and checking we are reading the right worms — sorry words! We looked at how easy it is to misread something and assumed what the text says.
In maths we have been focusing on multiplication and long division.
On Thursday there were some fantastic costumes for World Book Day — you showed a wide range of knowledge about books and introduced by to some new characters!
We enjoyed RE with Mrs Taylor this morning.
Year 6 are working very hard, the new curriculum is providing us with many challenges and their is a lot of dedication from year 6 to achieve to the best they can. Well done! Enjoy a well earned rest this weekend.
