So...what a couple of weeks! This weeks news is last weeks and this weeks combined after technical...
Y6 News
Year 6 have thoroughly enjoyed their Literacy work this week which ended with a debate on Thursday. They all took on their roles brilliantly and made great points in our debate about whether the school field should be sold for housing — just a point to debate it is not actually happening! We also debated the question which faced the community in our story Exodus — As the rising seas took more of the island the time had come to make a decision about the future — do they stay on Wing where before long their homes will be washed away and it will disappear or do they set out and search for a new home. It provoked many interesting points but we decided hope overrides everything and whilst you have hope you have a future so we would set out in search of a new home.
In maths we have been looking at 2D shapes and their properties.
Year 6 led the new starters service on Wednesday afternoon, introducing their Reception buddies to the congregation — they did a fantastic job and the service was beautiful.
We have continued with our geography work on coasts and rivers. It was unfortunate that our visit could not go ahead this week but we are looking forward to going after half term.
Have a lovely holiday everyone!
