So...what a couple of weeks! This weeks news is last weeks and this weeks combined after technical...

Y6 you are just superstars. There are no other words to describe how I feel about you all in these...
Y6 Last Term has begun
Your last term at Wybunbury has begun...this week has already flown by! It has certainly been a busy one!
We have begun every day looking at techniques for answering reading paper questions, we have realised we have to reference the text; we can't make sweeping statements -e.g. it gives extra information, we have to be specific to the text; the clues to the answers are in the questions! Our scores have improved over the week! Our reading challenge is progressing well — it is lovely to see so many different texts being read, discussed and recommended!
We have focused our writing this week on summary writing — we have managed to summarise 225 pages of Sky Hawk down to less than a page of A4! It was a challenge!!
In Maths we have focused on fractions and everything you can possibly imagine that is connected to fractions — adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, improper, mixed, equivalent, lowest form, decimal and % equivalence, fractions of amounts and lots more besides!
We completed reading Skyhawk as we didn't quite get there before the holidays but we are ready to being our new story for this term next week — Wonder by R.J.Palacio, 'You can't blend in when you are born to stand out.'
We have also continued with science, RE and PE.
MyMaths and spag.com homework has been set tonight.
Have a lovely weekend
