Y5 Weekly News
This week in Year 5 we have been storytellers, coders and millionaires!
In English this week we looked at chapter writing. We decided to write the next chapter to our book (Wolf Brother) and they were amazing! Everybody thought about the mood, tone and voice in their writing which led to some really powerful and tense chapters!
Just take a look:

In Maths we had a focus on reasoning problems and how to tackle some of the trickier multi step questions, we will continue this next week!
During science we won the lottery! We were given £50,000,000 and so each bought a private jet and made the Wybunbury playground into an airport! We flew around the globe investigating time-zones! Hawaii, New York and Brazil were all visited by the children and everybody could calculate what time zones they were in too! We also explored why day and night occurs and had lots of interesting discussions and questions!
We continued with coding and also had an e-safety from PC Nick who warned us about the dangers of technology.
We were also very excited to pick our drinks and popcorn ready for our cinema trip on Monday!
Have a brilliant weekend,
Mr Dale
