What a great half term we have had, you all deserve a well earned break.

In Maths this week we have learnt a formal division method, new to us all. We have all found success with this new method, our journey has even taken us to recording remainders as fractions and then decimals. We are proud to have mastered this new method in less than a week!

Our completed reports have now been published in our study work books, packed full of amazing facts and figures, including did you know questions. Our reports conclude with a summary of how important the Amazon Rain forest is to us all.

Our question for discussion in Science this week was, "What do you think might happen if dishes were left in a closed dishwasher for over a week, whilst we went on holiday?" It lead us into our learning about microorganisms and what they are. We found out about good bacteria and bad bacteria along with viruses and fungi. Shortly after our lesson there was a huge increase in using the anti bacterial hand wash, which can only be good. We went on to find out about different scientists and how they had made use of some microorganisms in their inventions.

We leave our book as the main character Robert finally makes contact with other people, but are they from the plane crash, will they all be friendly and keep him safe?

An update on our next Moss visit with Natural England, this has been re-arranged for Friday 26th February, I will be in touch with the items your child will need to bring.

I hope you all have a safe and enjoyable half term.
