In Maths this week we have used our multiplication skills to work out word problems and tackle reasoning problems, ending with a whole class question hunt. After completing our multiplication and division assessments we will now be moving onto fractions and percentages.

In English we have used our food technology unit to complete our instructional writing which we are now ready to publish in our study work books.

We have worked hard to present our bread making data in a different way this week, our skills were put to the test as we carefully plotted our opinions on a 'spidergram.'

We have spent some time this week investigating human and physical features of Great Britain, including Snowdon — Snow Hill. We will continue with our Geography next week.

In computing we have been introduced to a new 3D modelling programme called SketchUp Make. We have had the opportunity to test out the tools and will continue with our creations next week. This is a free downloadable programme if your child wishes to continue to improve their skills at home.

Our World Book Day winners in year 5 were Hannah Blood as Gangster Granny and Leo Jones dressed as the centipede out of James and the Giant Peach. Well done to you both, we all enjoyed spending extra time reading our books.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend.
