What a fun filled week we have had from cooking pasta to feeding sheep... we have not stopped!

We have spent our week converting measures, both metric and imperial in numeracy and measuring different parts of our body. Lots of us were amazed by our height and how much we had grown. We have developed our story plot to change the Wind Singer story in Literacy, including story language has definitely hooked Mrs Burns and Mrs Charlesworth into our stories.

On Wednesday we had an opportunity to explore Italian foods and talk about healthy eating. Cooking and eating our own pasta was a real treat.

Today we have been to Bickley Hall Farm in Malpas as part of our John Muir award, run by the Cheshire Wildlife Trust. We began our day by harvesting apples and then into the barn to prepare our crumbles. The smell of cooked crumble welcomed us into lunch where we enjoyed the fruits of our hard work. Learning new facts about arable farming and organic farming gave us an insight into different wildlife and where to find them. We finished our day by digging into owl pellets to try and find out what an owl feeds on. We found shrew and mice skulls and all sorts of rodent bones some of which made it home!

Well a busy week deserves a restful weekend. Enjoy.
