In Literacy this week we have been thinking more and more about the story, the Naughty bus. We...
A huge thank you to all the parents and children in Year 1 for making our theme day extra special...
On Wednesday, Year 4 had their magical theme day! The children all came in looking fantastic in...
Y3 Theme Day!
Today in Y3 we had our topic day. It was full of Hooks, Pans and even the odd Tinkerbell.
Our day started with all the children showing off their outfits! They were all fantastic, with lots of thought gone into them! We had all sorts of characters from the magical world of Neverland show up! We loved showing off our feathers, swords and hats!
After that we looked at all the amazing food that had been brought in. We had cakes, biscuits and lots of treats! We had a quick cake and started to watch a stage production of Peter Pan (to get us excited for our trip on Wednesday!). We then played 'Hook Wink Murder' and pin the feather on the Pan!
Next up we had another practice of our nativity. The children have been brilliant at singing the songs and acting so far!
After break, we split into two teams! Some of the children decided to stay with Mrs Van Russelt to take part in a lovely craft session! The children created little Tinkerbelles that were magnetic! We also made pipe cleaner crocodiles! They look brilliant!
In the hall it was absolute cannonball chaos as the children took part in cannonball dodgeball! Children were put into 4 teams and played against one another to prove who would be the king of the cannon! It was great fun!
After lunch, the children created their own pirate drama scene! Clashing swords, ducking down and even the old twirl were all seen in action! We performed our drama pieces to the class with a pirate theme tune playing in the background!
We then settled down to watch the film and of course have more cake!
After our film we headed outside to get some fresh air and have one last run around in our costumes!
We finished our day with a bit of the story and headed off home!
What a great day! It's now time for bed!
