What a fantastic week of sporting opportunities we have had.

It has been so lovely to see every child competing in events from Town Sports track and field to our own school sports days, and even the Race for Life. There has been a spirit of encouragement and celebration amongst all year groups; making sure everyone's contribution was valued.

Our Year 3 Town Sports team did us proud on Monday and Wednesday; winning their year group events. Their contribution led to overall success for Wybunbury. We were Group B winners too, and brought home an array of trophies. Fantastic effort! We are very proud of you.

Our school sports events were a real treat to watch. Every child took part and gave their all in both our sports day and our Race for Life. I know Race for Life medals were worn with pride, and thank you to everyone for their fundraising efforts. A special well done to winning house teams.

In class, we've been busy writing explanations for a very complicated Teacher Pleaser machine in English lessons! Using causal connectives such as: consequently, as a result, and therefore, we wrote sentences to show how the machine worked. This was a tricky task but, with perseverance, everyone achieved the learning job. We will complete our explanation writing next week.

In maths, we've worked on missing number problems, sometimes using the inverse operation to solve the puzzle.

We've started work on our study work front covers too. The photographs show some of our amazing headdresses.

Well done, everyone. Have a lovely weekend; you certainly deserve a rest!
