Y3 maths homework

Home » News » Y3 maths homework

Dear Year 3,

New Mymaths homework has now been set. There are two tasks to complete:

The first is to reinforce your work this week on place value. You have proved you are a maths whizz with this but count carefully!

The second is a skill we need to work hard on: using < or > to show greater than or less than to compare 3 digit numbers. Remember, the 'yawning' (open) end of the symbol must face the biggest number, and the sharp, pointed (closed) end must face the smallest number.

372 is greater than 174 so the symbol should be used like this: 372 > 174
174 is less than 372 so the symbol should be used like this: 174 < 372

We will keep working on this in class. Good luck merry Outcasts!

Miss Lake
