Well, the weeks are flying by only two weeks until half term and our Harvest Service is next week. If your child has words to speak in the service please could you help them to learn them so that they don't need their papers next week. We are really looking forward to welcoming parents and small children on Wednesday morning and parents only on Thursday morning for the service.
In class we have been using our number bonds to 10 to help us do addition sums where the answers are tens numbers. In Literacy we have been looking at using joining words and writing our own fables. We are still working hard on our handwriting and trying to join our letters where we can.
We have also been using our sketching skills to examine pictures and work out how we might draw them and then making our own sketches. We have also been recording our food chains ready for our study work books.
In our KiVa session this week we looked at sharing and how we know what is right and what is wrong. We also discussed what respect means and made posters to show this to others. The children came up with a lovely idea 'The Rainbow of Respect' where each colour of the rainbow has a way of demonstrating respect on it.
Don't forget to bring your spelling homework book in on Monday to get your spelling score recorded in it. Check into My Maths to find this weeks homework.
Enjoy the weekend.
