A huge thank you all once again for your support in these challenging times! Seesaw has been...
We're going on a minibeast hunt!
We're going on a minibeast hunt.
We're going to see a big one.
What a beautiful day,
We're not scared!
Uh oh ! A big spider by the shed
We are scared after all !
What a great week back Reception. We are loving our new topic about minbeasts and it's been lovely to get out in the sunshine and look for them in our garden and our bug hotel.
The sun has also helped our plants to grow in our vegetables garden too, especially our potatoes and onions.
We have been showing off our independent writing skills this week by writing a diary for the hungry caterpillar.
In number work we have been looking at symmetry in nature and God's world, then making symmetrical patterns for butterflies.
We are looking forward to the arrival of our own caterpillars so we can observe stages of their life cycle.
Our art this term is inspired by the artist Georgia O'Keefe, depicting minibeasts on brightly coloured flowers or leaves, using mixed media. I think you'll agree, they look fabulous !
Have a lovely weekend, let's hope its a sunny one!
